Welcome to Church of the Cross Youth Group (name to come soon)
The meetings will be starting on September 6th and will be every Sunday evening from 5:00-7:00. drop off and pick up will be at the door on the left side (facing the church)
The youth group meetings will consist of a business meeting, bible study, games or projects
We are starting this group from the ground up and will decide as a group on a name and focus scripture
We will be focusing on becoming closer to God by learning how to use our bibles and to pray comfortably. a bible will be provided for each teen.
We will be doing 3 different types of activities throughout the year.
- Mission projects
- Fun outings
- Skills (art, baking, woodworking, etc.)
We will start off September with bible lessons on “Who Is Jesus” and “Who is God”
September’s Activities will be :
5th quarter Bonfire September 11th
Stop by the church after your school’s football game for hot dogs, pop and chips and fun!
After the game -11:00ish
families are welcome! Friends are welcome! Invite people!!
And
Moving/ clean-up day
September 19th from 10:00-12:30
With Pastor Tom retiring next year we need to move all our “stuff” out of the parsonage so the trustees can begin getting it ready for a pastor. We will be boxing, moving, cleaning, and organizing, so wear old clothes. We will have lunch at 12:00.
